Xbox 360 update

could someone tell me how i can update my xbox 360 with the latest dashboard update without messing anything up. I need to update because according to this guide http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71774 i must have the newest dashboard to reflash my drive to the new firmware so i can play XGD3 games

It updates automatically when you login to xbox live. If you banned then I dont think you can updated it.

You need to either connect to XBL and it will prompt you to download the newest update, or you can download from here to install:

my disk drive is allready flashed should i restore it to stock before i update?

The update will flash your drive back to stock.
