I assume you have tried them on diferent usb ports? try removing any references to them in the device management when conncted and rescanning to see if they are correctly detected , naturaly any applicable drivers or software suites should also be installed.
Answer #4
any usb devices work at all ?
Answer #5
I had this happen before. SOMEHOW my BIOS was changed and legacy was turned off. Boot into BIOS and check that.

Answer #10
Try this:
Windows Key + R
type devmgmt.msc
look for USB drivers, right click and uninstall. Then when it comes up again right click and search internet for drivers. I had to do this once.
Answer #11
in appz section get “active boot disk 4.01”, it is USB enabled
boot from it and plug a drive in
if you can see it there it’s a windows problem, if not then you have a mobo problem
mass storage devices use more power that a mouse or keyboard

I have this problem sometimes as well with USB drives. Sometimes the drive won’t show up in My Computer. It does show the drive letter when you left-click the “safely remove hardware” icon in the system tray. I can access it with other programs, but I cannot access it with windows explorer. Other times it works just fine. I would say eject the device and plug it in again.
