PC Screen Size ?
July 31st, 2016
800-600 to 1280-1024. And i wanted to go be a little more over 1280 because thats how it was when i first installed win7 and suddenly i installed updates and screen resolution changed, and color also.
no, it’s impossible to stretch passed your native resolution. the only solution is to buy a better monitor.
did you update your video card drivers to latest versions?
oh, yes i did, cause once i first installed win7 on my other PC the color and screen size was perfect. and suddenly after updates, size was automatically adjusted to recommended and color kinda changed. but btw thanks mate.
nonsense, don’t give up until i help you solve your problem. what was your screen resolution on your other PC? and when you say other PC do you literally mean another PC, or just a different partition/version of windows.
cause you have to remember integrated GPUs don’t support that high of a resolution.
yep, another PC.
true, but i just wanted to know if there was such a way to make everything more smaller because its in recommended setting and to me everything looks kinda too close but i guess thats how the monitor is.
The resolutions/refresh rates are monitor specific,You cannot use a resolution that isnt supported by it , Set that aside,You can also change font size (DPI Settings) from the advanced tab , Check if the graphcis driver is installed too because if it isnt the color quality will be very bad
on Desktop, right click > Screen resolution > Make Text and Other items smaller or larger
although on my friends laptop, when I updated the drivers the resolution wouldn’t go as high as the ones installed by Win7, also the colour was saturated and the anti-aliasing was weird, so I just rolled back.
It’s also possible to set custom resolutions in some graphics card driver control panels.
When you say the colors changed, do u mean they are not clear ? Like inverted colors ?
And with the issue with our screen size, if you have tried changing the resolution on your computer, you need to buy a larger monitor, your video card checks the highest resolution your monitor can reach and selects that for you
Hope I helped !
what is your graphic card ?
