August 11th, 2013

Hi people
I have a problem with my laptop a few days ago I was using my laptop which is a Toshiba L300D (windows 7) along with my cubase studio software which I use on a regular basis . All of a sudden my sound had cut off and a red cross sign had appeared on the volume icon. I then checked the sound devices and it stated that there is no audio device installed then i checked the device manager and found out that the same red cross icon was on the volume icon. I checked the Toshiba website installed the latest driver which still didnt change anything I even tried microsoft fix it which displayed the issue but didnt sort it out plz can some one help me on how to resolve this issue

Answer #1
try going back to a date that worked.
Answer #2
I tried that but The restoring date was the date that the sound problem occured I even deleted the operating system and re-installed it but the issue is still occuring
Answer #3
Maybe try one of the driver update apps uploaded on here.
Driver magician or Uniblue Driver Scanner. Cant remember the names of others.
Hope you get it sorted either way

Thanks Jackall Im a try the driver updates and see if the situation changes
Answer #5
Code 10 errors are nearly always caused by driver problems. Whether it is a misconfigured driver, a missing driver, or a corrupt driver, it is rather safe to assume that the problem is driver-related. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine exactly which driver may be causing the issue. That is where the use of tools like “Driver Sweeper” come into play.
Hope this helps.!
