Hack GPS Device?

I have a Nextar q4-04. It was just given to me as a gift. It has an SD card input and USB input. What I want to know is if it is possible to play movies or find some way to put games on the device?
Also- I want to update it to the most recent United States maps, but I can’t afford the update. How can I get it for free?
