Install Windows 7 on a External Hard Drive

is it possible to install windows 7 onto a external hard drive? If so how do you do it? thanks

i dont think its possible, i have a retail copy of 7 and it wont let me install to a usb hdd now maybe if you have a esata it will but i didnt have the cable at the time. but as for usb hdd no

thanks seen that link wasnt sure if it really worked or not. i want windows 7 on my external disk so i can play more games, ill give that a shot thanks
