how to trace yahoo ip?

plz tell me how can i trace yahoo messengers id’s IP? any ip tracer available??? i mean if my friend is online and i want to know that wats his IP so how can i trace it??? plz tell me sooon . Thanx

Its not such a complicated thing to do , however it begs the question if you dont know how to retrieve it what possible use can you derive from it .
