2 Routers 1 Modem……How?

So i ended up getting another router because my room is to far for the wifi but i can’t seem to get this working any help would be appreciated i tried google but its not helping.

Please explain your setup in detail, ie. brands/models of what you have.
One router will more than likely need to be set up in extender/repeater mode, if they are all compatible.

Install ddwrt and set it up as a repeater.
Google can tell you how to do this if you don’t know…

Some you can choose that as an option in the config, without having to flash with 3rd party firmware, that’s why I asked for specifics.
