cisco routers advice….

August 7th, 2016

i am in process of studying some Cisco basic material. i am going to take A+ and then Network+ and then some CCNA and then CCNA wireless.
as for routers, i have a cisco 1841 router now. i am thinking of selling it to buy a laptop so i can study while im on the road everyday. is it bad to sell the router and hope to buy another better one in the future? or is this router the best one to have for cisco studying? i dont have switches or anything else so i would need to buy those when i can afford it.
advice? sell? keep?

The Routing module is 1 of 4 on the course. 1, TCP/IP;Subnetting;VLSM. 2, Routing 3,Switching 4,Accessing the WAN. Best sell and buy a lab on e-bay. If the college dose not provide the hands on equipment.
