Windows XP Key Help

Hey,
I have a legit XP installed and I belive the key is the one that is written on bottom of the laptop near to a barcode.(If else, I can recover it right?).
Well, thing is can I use this key for installing any other XP version? I lost the CD that came with the product, so I was wondering if I am gonna install another Proffessional XP edition downloaded from here, can I use my old key and will it be legit?

You can use the key and activate your windows…As long as the XP edition you are using is the same as the key…For example if your key is OEM…The copy of XP need to be OEM too..The same apply to Home or Pro…

How to tell that if its OEM or not.
It has only written Windows XP Home Edition and the key below it…. ?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer and i reckon your windows xp home is that!!!
