oo ok reason i ask is because every now and again when im on youtube i get a black screen then it comes back on and says “driver has recoverd blah blah blah” (GeForce 8400M graphics card)
i no these laptops had a problem with them overheating and mine got replaced under warrenty i never got this message on vista..
wondering weather to go back to vista or try windows 7 64 bit
You could try update your drivers using the Nvidia site below cause that could be the issue

Stick with windows 7… Windows 8 is nowhere near complete… hold ya horses
stick with windows 7 , if windows 8 come out not many people will be using it
so you won’t know is it good or not…
windows 7 is good, i wonder whats different in windows 8
stick with 7 I am sick of 8
Depends are you looking for the best performance or for a known interface XD
windows 8 = perfect for slower pc’s ! Also it starts really fast everything is really fast to be fair XD
Only the interface is *weird* for us !
windows 8 is crap, they just took windows 7 and then put on some weird menu thing that is completely useless and only useful to you if you are a noob and don’t know how to find stuff in the start menu.
If the press releases from Cnet and ZDnet are true, Windows 8 pc’s will be released with a UEFI lock so that “unsigned” windows apps or other Oses (like linux or OS2 etc.) will not load. Sounds like a bad idea to me, but like any newly released version of Windows, it’ll take a few months (or years) before it’s stable enough to become truly useable.
Stick with Windows 7, and update all of your drivers.
