windows 7 help

windows 7 is always sorting files from scratch. i ordered my music folder by date and it always runs ordering for about 30 seconds. it’s not that big a deal, but sometimes can bother. when it’s ordered by name everything goes smooth. anyone knows how to make my windows 7 remember order by date permanently?

Ditto that I hate this as well any help would be great.

Uhm actually I think it’s the same system as XP, only graphical now.
For example if you open up a folder filled with video’s/pictures in XP on a rather slow machine it can take a while to load all icons.
