Afterwards, you use a software (like powerISO) to burn the .iso onto a disk

You won’t be able to wipe your hard drive (through the windows installation) if the DVD is not properly loaded with Windows 7
You can also use the Windows download tool to burn the ISO to DVD or USB. (As long as it is a good untouched copy of Windows)

Best activation for Windows 7 is Windows Loader. (unless you have your own key)
Use it after Windows is installed, up and running.

Better use Pen-drive to install Win 7 first extracts all parts and burn .ISO image on your Pen-drive with this software:
