The built-in webcam is not working
October 9th, 2013
I have MSI VX600 it was Windows Vista Home Premium but I format it to Windows XP because Vista was slow this Laptop was with OEM but when I entered in Task Manager I notice that the Web Cam is not showing up can you please help me ?? Thanks
Uh,How on earth is the webcam related to the task manager? Not making any sense.
Does it work on IM apps? (MSN,Skype,Yahoo)
Have you ran the audio/video configuration wizard on those apps?
no not in the task manager theh device manager i want to write i made a mistake
no the MSN is showing that the webcam is not installed
I see,Anyways,I checked on MSI’s site and they don’t provide an XP driver for it,Doesn’t mean
you wont be able to get it,It’d just be a tad more complicated,Download this tool,Run,And provide
the output:
http://www.mediafire.com/?cmd5ty9iv1ng1re
It’d list all of the hardware ids (unique identifiers) which will help me find the driver.
Thanks guys the problem was that VX600 has a button and i need to press it so the microsoft windows find the appropriate drivers for the webcam
