Seagate external HDD (code 43) yellow ! error, [SOLVED!]

I have a 500gb external seagate HDD, I came on my computer this evening to find it not working due to a code 43 error. Can any help me? Is all my data gone or is there anything I can do?? :'(

Try plugging it into a different electrical socket on it’s own, it’s probably power related.
If that doesn’t work, post back with what OS you are using eg. Windows 7, vista etc
