Why and who would (D)DoS you? If they are, you can report it to your ISP I think and they’ll sort it out.

no one in particular would ddos me on purpose… on Xbox Live in Halo 3 in matchmaking if the opposing team is losing they will preform a ddos attack on the other team to lag them out of the game so they can win… its commonly known as “host booting” on xbox live.
an calling my ISP LOL biggest joke of my life. just because someone preforms a 15-30 second ddos attack on you they wont do anything. because a ddos is a wide variety of computers infected with a “bot” some known names would be ri0tbot NzM XR BioZombie an for websites… Unix Bots… [Mainly people use RFI which stands for remote file inclusion or you could have a fully rooted unix bot which is a server you have completely taken it over. most of these hit at 30 GB a Second… YES 30 Gigabytes of data a SECOND which could fry your router AND modem in the matter of seconds] moving on… ISPs wont do anything because it happends so rarely an most isp customer service reps read off their computer screen… they dont know anything. thats why they give you the run around my moms friend works for the internet customer service of our ISP… thats what they do at Cox Communications… not sure with verizon or road runner or mediacom etc…. but with Cox thats what they do. they cant do anything because they dont know what a ddos is… an if they say they will transfer you to the “internet security team” they are full of it. because its just another person thats reading cards off their pc… so the calling to the isp wont work because they are ignorant… the only way to prevent DDOS attacks is a secure VPN that is ddos protected… or some big ass connection… gimme a 30 Terabyte Connection. i will be good =]
but besides all that like i said… if anyone can tell me who sells secure vpn servers with unlimited bandwith that is fast enough for XBOX LIVE an is ddos protected… hook me up with a link… everyone has been telling me StrongVPN is really good but the servers can be REALLY slow sometimes… so i wanna have a few more options before i decide to buy…

For a software based VPN, try PureVPN.
http://www.purevpn.com/
And for non-software based, i.e PPTP based, try MonkeyVPN. Plus, they say they’re a Tier-1 provider.

I haven’t tried any of them, by the way. Be sure to read the TOS carefully.
