Your better off doing it with Acronis, alot safer

Easy to do with Acronis, you need to have un-allocated space first then you can create parititons out of it

Note that if you dont have any un-allocated space you can cut some out of an existing partition. You cant just magically create space
you need to have un-allocated space first then you can create parititons out of it
i’m just gonna make that a bit more clear
unallocated space is there when theres no partitions
(when they are deleted or if you just bought a new HD)
however,if theres existing partitions you can still split to
multiple ones , DDS can do it without data loss
but its still a good idea to back up first

just a suggestion,when dealing with partition software,
if your not sure about somethin just dont click it,better check
the help/manual first to understand it better

Acronis has a less chance failure rate than Partition Magic, etc

this is just ~love~ i got many 4,7 GB CDs with like 10mt files and theyt are useless now, i didnt managed to write over it maybe its possible idk

yep if you just bought a new HD or didnt fully utilize the all of the space for partitions
but thats uncommon (unless you partitioned
from xp setup which from some unknown/bug reason
leaves 8mb unallocated)
well when u install XP, its only a 3.2GB or something like that size right? If you have un-allocated space after it, you can assign some to the primary partition and still have the un-allocated space there. Or that 8mb thing

no idea what your talkin about with the 3.2gb
from my expirence when using a 3rd party partition
manager you can utilize all of the space and
nothin is left unallocated,unlike in xp setup

well the size of the Primary partition after a fresh format. Its 32, or has a 3 in it. You can use the space but just trying to prove a point

dl that and look at it
got it checked,its your realtek network card driver
get the latest and of course uninstall the current one
before installing it (if its on the add/remove programs in control panel)

you welcome , i used windbg (comes with debugging tools for windows)
do note that its not easy to use and requires quite a bit of learnning
didnt understand what you said about the partitions,could you be more clear?

are you sayin you created a secondary partition too
and you dont see it? , goto start–run–diskmgmt.msc
and take a screenshot , its still not so clear
its not there, i made 1 partiton only then it asks something what letter i whanna i chose X:\ so i tought it shud make me second hard drive like that but im not sure if it even suppos to, im trying to make second partition and lets see

it is there , its the first driver
called “Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Drivers”
just read up on the acronis PDF manual i linked
