Problem with my disc drive

Hi i keep getting this same error everytime i try to burn a cd or dvd. It doesnt usually happen the last 4 or 5 times it is the same. This is the message im gettin. (when i burn with nero)
DMA Driver error CRC error
D: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F
If somone could i would be grateful thanks. I have looked on a few website but i donno how to solve this problem.
I have uninstalled the driver but no luck yet.

thanks for the quick reply thing is im still running my system on xp i never have a problem on my laptop with nero and that is run on vista.

Burn with 4x speed or maybe because of your IDE 40 pin cable. Replace by another one.
I have uninstalled the driver but no luck yet.

try burning with ImgBurn (google it’s free) and see if you get the same error
