DVD drive problem.

My DVD drive currently does not seem to be reading my CD’s and DVD’s. Why this is happening i do not know as i have not opened up my CPU within the last 6 months.
So ill put the CD in and nothing will happen. I thought it was just the CD’s defect but i have tried mutiple CD’s and they have all failed.
Any help will be appreciated it.
Check the cables or remove the drive from the device manager and restart your computer
how old is your DVD drive maybe it’s just died try getting a new one if all else fails
