out of sync

i have a dell vostro, and it reasently started going out of sync part way into my movies, anything from 2gb upwards, also when i turn the movie off the laptop is slow, so i have to reboot
what are you watching them on (program) …and what file format is it
Decoding high bit-rate video streams might have a tough time in keeping up with the audio stream if you’re on a dated spec PC/laptop. You could try a lighter video player like Pot Player or MPC-HC (which I prefer) to see if that resolves the issue. Else, you could try downloading videos with a lower bit-rate like those mini 720p’s and 1080p’s re-encodes.
liek zedd said it depends on your pc setup…i use VLC player and it gives me no problems…but sometimes…i download movies and there just out of sync..and its just the guy who encoded it….for my big 4.37mkv files etc i use mkv2vob to convert it to a mpg and turn the dts into ac3 audio to make it a lil less in size/easier to stream etc…but sometimes its just a bad rip…happens alot with tv shows i download its always toward the end so it really doesnt matter about the size
