Network problems

so my internet drops then comes back every certain time. So im trying to see if theirs a problem with the hardware. I replaced the modem today with a new one comcast gave me. Second I think the problem might be either the wireless router or my PC but not even my Wireless devices get internet. So either i need a new router or i got router settings all missed up. Anyone here thing i need a new router or i got some settings wrong PS please help me!!!

run a lan line directly from the modem to your pc and see of the Internet stays online. If it does you can then focus on the router. first thing I would do reset the router to factory defaults and check the manufacturer’s website for any firmware updates for the router

since modem is new from comcast i would think your router is messed up…get a new one see if it goes away…another reason i think it wasn’t your modem was because you couldn’t even get wirleless to connect ot your router…you don’t need modem or internet for other computers to connect with your router..
