How to run 16-bit aplication on Windows 7 64-bit

June 8th, 2014

Hello! I have just downloaded “Sobotta – Atlas of Human Anatomy” but i can’t open it in Windows 7, it says that program is not compatibile with windows. I think it is because this application is 16-bit, and my windows are 64-bit. I have tried to run it in compatibility mode for older windows but it still does not work.
Does anyone knows solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance!

There is x86 = 32bit and x64 = 64bit…. so NO 16 bit….
x64 or 64bit will run 32bit apps without of problem….

You download and install “XP Mode” from Microsoft. I have tried it just for that reason, running a 16 bit app, and it worked.
EDIT: your screenshot shows the program is looking for a shared network location, do you have that network share available?

Uh yap i tried to open in while it was in my share folder. It works on my Windows XP now. I will install VMware workstation on Windows 7 and solve problem.
Thanks!

VMware should work fine too yes, but if you use “XP Mode” it will be “transparent”, you won’t even notice it’s actually running though the virtual machine. You just install it in there, and then you can run straight from your Win7 start menu.
