external hard drive problem

small problem with my WD 80 gig hard drive ,have downloaded a corrupt file by mistake now i cant delete it ,say’s file cannot delete ,the file or direcrory are corrupt and unreadable,,not realising i’ve put a few films on the drive but my w-d media player doesn’t see all the new files for some reason only the few films i had on previous
any ideas anything i can use to delete this file thank’s in advance
