Change IMEI for N95?

August 6th, 2016

I have this N95 and it’s been blocked by the network (no, it’s not stolen) What’s the software I can use to unblock it to allow me to make calls? I’m aware this is ‘dodgy’ but is it possible? Thanks in advance.

Don’t need unlocking just IMEI unblocking plus those are for old nokias.
Answer #6
It’s really impossible to change or spoof the IMEI.
Usually changing the IMEI means that the phone is stolen so the Network has blocked the IMEI. Also changing the IMEI of your phone is a lot more illegal then (Federal Prison plus a large fine for changing the IMEI Number)
And you would need to find a “clean” IMEI number to spoof it with or else it will not work.
One program I remember hearing about was WinIMEI, I don’t know if it’s still updated or if it’s even still availible.
Good luck and be careful.

IMEI changing is illegal. If network blocked it contact them and ask them to unblock it. Simple

Answer #9
Will try but does it change IMEI?
Answer #10
You can’t change IMEI, not only it’s spoofing and illegal (but who cares…?) but you’ll also be prosecuted as it’s like frauding your networ, which leads you to face major legal issues

I work in the telemetry sector, and from experience (with devices very similar to mobile phones) the IMEI number is usually stored on the GSM modem chip soldered into the device. When it is manufactured it is blank but it can be set ONCE with the appropriate commands (often AT commands – AT+WIMEI or AT+WIMEI=””) via a terminal connection and appropriate interface between the chip and serial port. Care has to be taken with the number when entering manually as the device will only accept the first command, after that it has to be sent away to be reset. As far as i know it is only the manufacturer of the modem chip (and presumably the phone manufacturer) that have the boards which enable them to flash an IMEI a second time.
To put it simply – short of wiring a setup to allow you to flash the chip (assuming it is EEPROM) i dont see how it is possible.
Hope this helps
