CD R/RW Drive Problem

hi mates,
I used Samsung CD writer for more years. But now i am using LG DVD writer for some months. So i already disconnected all cables of my CD writer. Now i bought new system and put DVD writer in that system. So in old system again connect the old CD writer. But when i switch on the system Writer drive automatically opening. Always it happening. After login when i put CD in the drive and close again it opening with in seconds. Not closing. If i close and stop opening with hands its k but not reading the CD. Please help me about this. But drive worked properly until i disconnected..

Check the cables are connected properly…

yes mate connected correctly. So power came and working but always it open. didn’t closing… even if put cd

That sounds like a power cable problem…Even if it appears to be connected properly…Try shaking and pushing it…That sometimes do the trick…or swap power connectors…The 12 volts wire is not toutching…

more than likely a data cable problem or bad drive
got another data cable ?
