Hi, Is there any way that I can create/burn a DVD/CD that cannot be copied/re-burn ?

I wouldn’t think so. That’s if i’ve read it right and you are wanting to make your own dvd that can’t then be copied.

Isee..I’ve did some research myself by googling about it.People said it’s impossible but its possible to lock the file on the disc from being copy? But it doesn’t say how? so anyone here know how? Or was it a lie?

let me tell you something…you can put any kind of protection you want on a disk…theres software that will rip it and copy it…how much money do you think these BILLION dollar movie companies are spending trying to encrypt there Movie disks…have you seen a movie yet that wasnt leaked on the internet? i remember when i use to rip dvd’s years ago..they were always coming out with new encryption etc to make it harder…you just kept getting updates for your dvdfab to copy them

I am considering dropping my Ipb license and switching to pHpbb or VBulletin. My problem is will my current database work with phpbb? I am somewhat familiar with VBulletin and know the dangers associated with nulled versions. I am getting confused but IPB is not only expensive, but my efforts have led to problems on my server with the board reading errors in the index, recaptcha and admin.cp files that require re-install on a regular basis. All I want to know, is if the database will work with either or both of the other 2 scripts?

Hey everyone. I am in the middle of getting a new hard drive because my current one is clicking, so I assume it’s on it’s way out.
Now I have got my PC running perfect. No errors, driver problems or anything like that. Got the games installed what I play, configured right, everything.
I want to know if it’s possible I can backup the installation I’ve got into a file, then restore it all onto the new hard drive?

I burned the ISO file to a DVD and set the boot to boot from DVD but it doesnt recognize it and basically doenst work.
I just noticed that when I extracted there was a file called windows loader that I forgot to burn. Its a rar file and is only 6kb.
What else could be the problem here?

use imgburn, IMO Nero has alot of settings that you’ll need to change in order for an ISO to successfully work.

make sure you extracted from the .rar. or part01.
burn on a slow speed and try to use the best (branded) media you can get your hands on.

I never had to change anything.

I thought i might start uploading some movies, how many parts should i upload?, do i use HJSPLIT. should i safelink or not how do u do that. What’s hotlink??

100mb a part would be lovely. You can use WinRAR to make parts, you don’t have to safelink. Hotlink:
hotlinking - Directly embedding or linking to a resource on another server, such as an image or video, so that it appears to be part of the linking website � considered a violation of netiquette

With hotfile it is best to have parts that are not bigger than 400 MB so that free users can still download them. As said winrar is good for this. As far as safelinking goes I would start off by just posting the links straight from hotfile. If they constantly go down then use safelinking to try and help them stay up longer.

I’d say 400-500 MB is a good size per part. 100 MB parts make just too many chunks, which becomes a problem for free users. If you find 400 to be a little too large, go for 200 MB chunks.

I usually upload movies with 200MB parts and games with 300MB, but it depends on the size of the files.

I don’t mind downloading 100 mb parts..
But make sure you have at least 3 mirrors when posting a movie. If you just post HF you won’t get any replies or many downloads.

I want to reupload these files to Hotfile, but I don’t want to have to re-archive them all singly to change the hashes. And if I upload them again same as before, they won’t be put into my account, since obviously, each file’s hash has been banned.
So I ask, does anyone have an easier solution to make these files “uploadable” again?

did you use a mac equivalent to winzip or 7zip to put all the music into archives? if thats the case, you should be able to unzip them, and then create a new archive that has a different md5.

Check out the thread linked in my Sig, there are scripts that can change the file hashes which I believe can be ran on a Mac OSX, they work fine on Linux and I am sure that someone did confirm that they worked on a Mac. Note the program is for Windows but the scripts at the bottom are for Linux/Mac OSX.
If you create a tiny script in the base folder using the script as a template, you should be able to have the script change the hash on all the files fairly easily. OR name the file individually and create a script which does each file or group of files separately. Take a look because it should give you some ideas on how to do it.
