Burning Lossless Audio to CD (Which fileformat to use)
August 3rd, 2013
"WAV is a data file format for a computer to use that cannot be understood by CD players directly. To record WAV files to an Audio CD the file headers must be stripped and the remaining PCM data written directly to the disc as individual tracks with zero-padding added to match the CD's sector size. In order for a WAV file to be able to be burned to a CD with most burners it should be in the 44100 Hz, 16-bit stereo format."
So what is left ?
Your suppose to burn it as an Audio CD,Not data!
Provided the app you use support FLAC,You wouldn’t have a problem.
I recommend you use easy cd-da extractor for this task.
I burn it with CDBurnerXP (Audio Disc) As noted by Wiki Wave is not much compatible with car stereo’s. Flac I’m unsure of..
Question remains – Which is best file format for creating Lossless audio CD. ?
I burned many CDs using Winamp (which uses Sonic’s burning technology) and all the music I burned were in FLAC. They all worked as they should’ve in my cars stock cd player. Even in other cd players, they all worked.
Ok, I’ll give it a try. Thanks

The AudioCD standard uses a special format and is not burned in data mode! Stop confusing yourself.
It’d be 100% compatible with your car stereo,I guarantee you that.
If you want it to be compatible with all CD players, them burn it as Audio CD (CDA) format…
