If you’re talking about original Xbox games, I think the mod involves setting up an FTP to the HDD of the console, not with actually burning games.

Most info is in my sig. 1. Almost every program will work, Imgburn works well.
2. Impossible, its common sense. 3. Shove in a burnt game.
4. Many ways, if your on V 1.6 Xbox you can only use a Modchip.
Other than that you can use font exploit, Agent Under Fire Rain Coat Exploit, Splinter Cell Exploit, Mech assault 2 Exploit. Of course those games will have to be original. Note: I would just use the Modchip soldiered ontop the LPC via pins.

The cheapest and fastest way is to do softmod. Get Action Replay Max, then get the original game Splinter Cell from 2002 NOT the platinum hits version gots to be original. Then when you load up Action Replay Max it should load up its program and it connects to internet where you can see other peoples uploads and you get a hack for Splinter. (if you cant find it, i guess i could post it i think i still have it in my memory card) and then load it up and insert game and then install a dashboard. Evo-X dashboard is simple and easy to use, its what i have but Unleash-X gives you more features. And then once you have it modded you can play burned games. I got couple of Xbox 1 games if you are interested. Most of them are dead in forums and sadly only way to get most of them is through torrents.
I use ImgBurn at 4x speed to burn Xbox ISO’s.
But ye softmod is best way to go if you can find original game, i got splinter cell for 3 dollars used at my local GameStop store and also got Action Replay Max from there. That was 4 years ago though…. but softmodding it took 10 mins. It was pretty easy
