XBOX 2 Red Ring.

My xbox constantly hits 2 red rings.. Overheat.
This can be mid fifa, or whilst blasting heads.. what ever.. Its pissing me off.
I dont wanna take it apart, because it will it void warranty, and if I come across 3 red rings, im ~ censored ~.
Any guys able to suggest any fix’es?
Ive blown compressed air into the xbox. anything else ;p

http://www.xbox360repair.ca/2redlighterror.html pretty striaght forward and im sure you do all of this…you can try to buy a aftermarket fan for it …but its its made beyond a certain month/year ( cant remember some time in 2008) this will happen to all of them..sooner or later…
If you’re not willing to take it apart because you don’t want to void the warranty why not send it back to Microsoft and take advantage of the warranty?
I agree with prozac. other than that buy an aftermarket fan or make sure it’s in a well ventilated area.
but if you want to open then do it and fix the 8 clamps inside where the coolers are done.i did it 1 time and they havent come again (for about 9 month)
You got 3 options:
1. Send it back to MS for RMA.
2. Take it apart and do some mods.
3. Buy an Xbox 360 S.

He said he didn’t want to open it…does your guide cover repairing a console without opening it?
send it MS if you have waarenty, it wouldnt make sence to not do that.
If you don’t want to open it, you can’t do anything to make it work. Just return it to Microsoft and obtain a new one.

its really not that hard to open it up without damaging any seals to void warranty but if it freaks you out dont do it
its sucks cause you know whats next… 3 rings. its just going to get progressively worse.
better to just send it off and have microsoft fix it for you under warranty. or sell it and get some money to buy a 360 S
