xbox 360 doesnt connect to xbox live? need help!

i used to be able 2 connect to xbox live perfectly before for about 4 months then all of a sudden it stopped working. its connected wirelessly with the xbox 360 adapter and when a click on text connection is fails on xbox live. i think it could be because the xbox is chipped but i havent had any messages or anything.
any solutions????

hmmm, not really, maybe remove the chip, (maybe there is firmware for it too)?
And download main firmware for 360, put it in and let it install,

it could be because you have been banned from live maybe?….
if you get any message like error code (some numbers) most likely you are banned
…modded consoles are banned off of live all the time thats why its advised dont play a modded console online

yeh..a thought a would have got away with it. lol. wen u click on status codes it does have something like this:

The only way I know would be to buy a core 360 for a cheap sum and format your hard drive on the old xbox, put it on your new xbox and format it again, then restore your xbox live account and start over on your game saves.
