windows update question

If I do a fresh install of windows 7 and go to windows update, will it automatically try to install windows 10 or will it give me the chance to stay with windows 7?

it’ll do all win 7 updates first, as there are specific updates such as 3035583 and 2952664 required for “smooth” migration to win10

Windows update will not automatically upgrade to Windows 10..
You will chose whether you want to upgrade or not..

You can remove or hide the update as shown here so you don’t get the tray icon..
