Windows 7 Sound Problem

July 31st, 2016

I could use some help here, I have Windows 7 on my PC and I don’t have Sound.
I downloaded several Drivers and nothing works,my two friends also have Windows 7 and they both got Sound (They didn’t have to instal anything) they just got it with Windows instal. I have MSI 865PE Neo3-V Mainboard and I don’t have Sound Card (I use one from Mainboard). Now when I check update for drivers it says I have the best and that Device is working properly, but in Sound it says Speakers and Headphones Not Plugged In ?? Anyone knows what I should do??

Answer #1
just do windows update and select optional updates, it should be there.

Did that and still nothing…

hmmm. If im not mistaken it uses the realtek ac97 audio driver.
You need to get it from realtek as MSI only gives drivers for 2000/XP. If these dont work, i dont know then :\

1. Turn on your speaker! Just kidding
2. Replace your speakers by your friend’ speakers. If it got sound, problem is your speakers. If still no sound, download sound driver from MSI directly, install.
Answer #5
if windows recognized ur drivers fine, than its windows sound settings, try fiddling with sound output device settings
