wifi connection problem

i have BSNL WIMAX internet Connection on my laptop..
so pls help about his

go into the advance settings and try giving it a IP address and then try connecting again.
r u connecting via cable, or wireless hotspot?
on your laptop: right click the wifi icon in your taskbar, click troubleshoot and ‘try to fix the problem’
on your phone: reboot it [with the cable unplugged or with your hotspot turned off] then after your phone reboots, plug in your cable or turn the hotspot on and try again
