Wifi Problem in my college

Guys I’m using my college Wifi connection, We students have username and password to login. The problem is we have 44MBps connection and when receiving i get hadly 45KB. The speed goes well and stuck sometimes and gone. Is there a way i could make use of entire network or something?

Depends on your school, just read their internet TOS.

You mean Mbps right?
MB = Megabyte
Mb = Megabit

Not sure I quite follow. But the network speed will vary depending no who is doing what at which time.

Its normally because the internet is shared between many people so other people using the net will affect your sppeds
i know at my uni, the speedtest speeds say 90 mbps, but i get about 2

I will agree with this…..
…..My college put the LIMIT on download Speed….maybe your college did the same thing……Before we could download 1GB in max 10 minutes – now we need 1 Hour to download it…..and NOT depending how many people downloading…..

You are not going to get anywhere near the maximum speed wirelessly, seeing as you are probably only connecting with 802.11 b/g

On my college you need to search for good place where the speed is the best – did you try this.
Is maybe little weird but on my college Inside lecture hall speed is ultra for my country – about – but depends if you are using some acc like rs – it goes to 15 Megabyte per second – sometimes even more.
But Outside with or without acc speed is max 1 Megabyte per second.
What did i said before about download limit – this was only for “cable” not for wifi on my college.

@DraZenFILJE u have a point but here we are inside hostel so not sure where there is good speed.
Is there some kind of software to use to solve?
