Why should I code external links?

I want to ask this one question:
Why should I code external links?

Is it for security reasons? or only to make my post looks a little bit more organized? Thank you and have a nice day.

Web hosting. Referrals. Affiliation. sites. Sites that require registration, subscription or a fee to access. Removed

Cause it states all links must be coded in the rules of the forum.
So it looks tidy and not messy AND it is the forum rules to do so.
I think… when you click a link they can track it back to where you came from.
When you copy and paste into a new window there is nowhere “to come from”…
