Which is the fastest/best custom OS?

Im wondering what do u guys (or gals) think the quickest and best os i should get?
I was looking at a cuple of them XP only i dont wanna deal with Vista
Windows XP Indego Edition 2007 USA Final Reatil DVD
Windows XP SP3 – WELCOME TO BLUE XP
XP Black Edition With SP3
My comp specs are Sony Vaio Laptop
Pentium 4,
2.4 GHz
512 Ram
and around like 25GB of space
old laptop looking to slap a turbo on it and speed it up to meet my needs for internet,chatting, and minor hacking (PSP,Iphone ect.)

Well, I would stick with XP Pro SP2 but if you want a custom OS go for either Beast Edition (fastest) or Black Edition (best tweaks). Good luck mate^^

im using the dark edition, and its pretty sweet…but your lappy is old so…idk

I don’t recommend those modified xp disks to anyone, mainly just because of security risks, you don’t know what they did, all your information could be tracked back through a trojan or something.

and why cant someone have added a trojan to an OEM XP and just labeled it “untouched” or something. i think any downloaded software runs the risk of carrying malicious software.

TinyXP since you have so little room
TinyXP ver5 will run very fast on that
it’s peppy on my PIII 933 (what I’m on now)
