Answer #6
INTEL CORE2 QUAD QX6600 2,4Ghz 1066FSB S775 4Mb is faster
Answer #7
QUAD
Answer #8
ok thx for the quick responds
Answer #9
Quad will be faster, but Duo is more reliable.
Answer #10
Quad will be faster, but Duo is more reliable.
Really how?
Answer #11
Duo has been around a lot longer than Quad. The updates and changes to the Duo make it more reliable.
Answer #12
I’ll have to admit, I’d go with the Core 2 duo
Answer #13
for single processing the due will > the quad
but for more advanced processing (which will be enabled in newer apps+games) the quad > the duo
Answer #14
The dual core one is faster right now but later on the quad will beat it in speed and performance for games and other stuff, because it will essently use more cores as it takes advantage of them in the future, for future demanding appzs and games.
Answer #15
I would go for the quad its potential is much greater as coding makes use of it

Mark his words !!!! He’s 1000% right (u noobz )
Answer #17
Get two Dual cores on a motherboard that supports two processors. That way you have the reliability, added redundancy (in case one processor dies), and the capabilities of a Quad Core.
Answer #18

There will be also updates for the Quad core, lol
It will be better for the future
Answer #19
Most of times Newer = Better so I’d go with Quad.
Answer #20
quadcore mate
although if you want a dual core got with AMD FX series
Answer #21
Quad Core. More Cores, more processing.
Answer #22
lol.
The correct answer is neither are “faster than the other”
You will not even notice a difference in these two chips.
Now if I were purchasing one I would go with the Quad just in case directX makes another jump to 10.xx or 11 (if for gaming).
Answer #23
it obvious INTEL CORE2 QUAD QX6600
Answer #24

It is?
Please inform me how you think it is “obvious”.
Answer #25

Do you know why they have the same price cuz Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 is better than INTEL CORE2 QUAD QX6600 without processor overclocking.
Go for Core 2 Duo E6850 if you play lots of games. Even using on multiple application. The dual core one is faster right now but later on the quad will beat it in speed and performance for games and other stuff, because it will essently use more cores as it takes advantage of them in the future, for future demanding appzs and games.

Honestly, In the future, There may have Core 2 Hex or more (6 or 8 Core). Choose the best performance CPU right now. Hardware is upgrading fast, you can’t catch it.

good charts Quad usually wins. It depends on the application. Some games are faster with one, some with the other
