System Update Stopped – Xbox360

Hi everyone,
iv’e just downloaded the “Bodycount” game and i had to install the new update.
unfortunately the update stuck after reboot and i get the error message :
System Update Stopped
Can’t read the update from the disc. please reinsert the disc to continue the update.
if the problem persistm visit www.xbox.com/support
what should i do ?

I’d start by reinserting the disc. If that doesn’t work, visit the website.
But I’m funny like that–I like to follow instructions.

im sure u can donwload latest update from xbox.com and put it on a usb and install that way.

what f/w is on the drive atm?

thanks, iv’e manage to complete the update but now the xbox won’t read any of my games

lol…research fail.
The last update (the one before the latest one) flashed all drives back to stock firmware.

i have the same problem it will not complete the update,my son wanted to play the rugby wc game on my banned console he knows not to update but he did anyway,i know it is going to put it back to stock firmware doh! i have tried the usb method and on a cd but will not update,if i get the console reflashed will it sort it out?

@weewinkie u need to flash bk to stock then update, the update gets stuck as the lastest update flashes the drive to a new stock f/w, the custom f/w u have on the drive atm is stopping the update.
U just need to flash bk to stock > Update then reflash.
