Surround Sound Speakers

January 25th, 2020

Hey it’s my first time going to purchase surround sound speaker systems and i was just looking for some advise… Very Happy Being a newbie to all of this, obviously i dont want to splash out loads of cash, but at the same time would like to see a notable difference in contrast to the quality currently coming from the tv…. I dont mind if its not real surround sound or whatever just want the feel of one…if that makes any sense…. Laughing I was looking at the “Logitech X-540 Multimedia Speaker System (5.1)” and was wondering if this was a good system for its price at 60? Lastly, i will mainly be using this system for my ps3 (Gaming, watching blu-ray etc….) would this “Logitech X-540 Multimedia Speaker System” be compatible? Or would it throw up any roadblocks with regard to connections etc? Worshippy Worshippy Much Thanks to anyone who replies, it would really help out alot. Worshippy

it looks good for a bufget one mate. i have a sony STR-KS1300 system. cost a few hundred and is amazing. friends say its like being at the cinema and it looks great with big sony tv and ps3.
if you got money, spend a couple of hundred more, its well worth it.

I have the G51, and all I can say is that it’s unbelievable.. the way it sounds and everything.
Also don’t forget to get a sound card Asus xonar or something from Creative (I have Creative x-Fi Titanium)

The ps3 cannot do anything on this software list: So I give it a 1/10 . Below is why a htpc setup is true win.
Shark  007 codec pack ( for dxva and the odd h1264)
Media browser ( really nice Interface for Tv shows/Movies)
Media center master ( for fetching meta data)
Remote potato ( For scheduling recordings remotely)
FileZilla server ( for Remotely checking and fixing stuff )
UTorrent with web gui ( for the legal downloads)
Jdownloader with web gui( for the legal downloads )
Any DVD hd ( for "backing up" purposes)
Rss feed notifer ( Remind me when Us tv shows have aired)

I’d say its a good choice, i wanted to buy them with my new pc (got it yesterday) but i decided to wait a while. They sure are very good!
BUT: my pc has 8 Sound ports, so i can put different sound systems, just stereos in it and those together make surround!
