Answer #1
Are you sure the Vista installation worked 100% correct with no errors? and was the version “clean”?
that’s very strange if you ask me never seen that before..
Answer #2
well it was nope’s vista ultimate pre activated. it works great, its activated and everything works fine.
Answer #3
I’m not sure about these Vista version out there, was that a clean vista or was it one of those crappy ones with software and random stuff included? you know, like those Black XP’s and stuff…
Answer #4
have you try to uninstall it, ( right click on both drives in device manager and select uninstall) then restart your pc, if still not try to reinstall your ide and mainboard chipset driver,
Answer #5

Download Driver Genius Professional. It’s a very useful program that allows you to easily download drivers that need updating. You can get it on the forum or just grab it from this link:
http://~ Dead file host ~/files/69277144/DTP_v4.10.0218.rar
After installing it let it update the driver DB and then update your drivers. It will download the drivers that you need to the desired location. Install them and see if the problem goes away. If not, why not try a firmware update. Good luck mate ^_^
Answer #10
oh thanks man. i had this before totally forgot about it ill post back
Answer #11
try to reinstall your ide and mainboard chipset driver,
Probably your best bet. Go to the web site of your motherboard manufacturer and download the Vista drivers for your board.
Answer #12
how do i find this info out?
Answer #13
ThraX, you have an IRQ problem. Your operating system might have had a glitch causing a malfunction in IRQ assignment.
In the Device Manager window, select VIEW > Resources By Connection. Then VIEW > Show Hidden Devices. Afterwhich, right-click and uninstall all those with the exclamation point then reboot your computer.
Should everything else fail, you might need to do a “clean” Windows installation.
Answer #14
i just did a clean install when i installed vista.
Answer #15
try re-installing vista, drivers for CD-rom’s should be always found in every OS
Answer #16
yea they loaded but now they aren’t there. do u understand. like the first day it was working cause thats how i got my sound drivers in and now it don’t what could this be?
Answer #17
I can’t say for sure, but in this case i can only recommend a format and re-install… shouldn’t take long, back up your data and wipe your system clean.
Answer #18
quick question is there a way to do a deep format??? cause i might wanna do that. i don’t if it was a quick format but it went fast so im guessing it was quick. i boot vista ultimate and i installed it. maybe it just did an upgrade cause my printer and internet drivers were put in by it self….
Answer #19
there’s no such thing, a quick format cleans the Hard Disk 100% clean! (Ofcourse files can still be recovered but that’s something completely different).
If you have nothing to back-up, insert the Vista CD/DVD into your drive, boot up, format all partitions (using NTFS) then make a clean install.
some tips: never use crappy versions of other people, like: “Windows XP Banana Sauce Version by 12yearoldkid”, they all suck. another tip: i recommend XP, it’s more stable
Goodluck, PM/Post if you need help.
EDIT: Many drivers are already included in OS’s like Win XP / Vista, such as Ethernet (Network Card) cards, sometimes printers and most definetly always CD-rom’s
Answer #20
oh okay, this is nope’s vista ultimate pre activate is touched like with viruses and ~love~. or is it just vista pre activateD?
Answer #21

Answer #22

Answer #23
