SOLVED – Safely remove on windows 7

As per title . When i left or right click on safely remove nothing happens at all. It does not show any connected devices ie 3 external hard drives although they are clearly displayed with all relevent info when i click on My Computer.Does any body have any idea how i can get this working again. Thanks in advance.

followed the intructions given but nothing happened i still have the safely remove icon and it still does not work.Thanks for the reply that is a useful site.Will do some searching on there also.

Try using system restore.

Are you using a custom theme or something?
Since I had that problem with a theme, so revert to normal.
