screen keyboard actives itself even after re-start

August 4th, 2016

Hi,
for more than a week now my system (windows 8.1) automatically starts the screen keyboard for some reason. It appears on the bottom right corner next to the system clock even though I do have a mechanical keyboard and no touchscreen.
See here:

This screen keyboard symbol is very annoying and I would really like to turn it off.
Here is what I have already tried:
-> open the properties of the task bar, go to toolbars and deactivate the screen keyboard. The screen keyboard goes then away but after re-starting the system the keyboard symbol is back.
-> I opened the management console, then opened services and then the “service for screen keyboard and typing area”. I deactivated the service.
However the damn keyboard symbol keeps popping up after every reboot. What can I do? Please help.
P.S. I hope I did correctly upload the screenshot, it is the first time I am uploading an image here[/img]

P.S….You need to put the [/img] right after your image ( instead of [img]) …

That image don’t work though…Would need to up load it to approved file host.
Still we can click on it and see it OK

Hi, yes I did that already but it didn’t help unfortunately.

It seems I found a hard solution to the problem, which is to fully delete the screen keyboard under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\TabTip.exe I am gonna delete it cause I absolutely do not need a screen keyboard and hopefully it will work
