Safety of rooting android
July 25th, 2016
You can find everything that you need about android on xda developers, how to root, custom ROMs, all sorts of apps… Every phone has its own forum where you can find instructions or just ask for help.

I can’t tell you how to root your phone because every phone has a slightly different method for that (i have xperia sp and i only know how to root xperi sp ) but root has same function on all phones it will allow you to change CPU speed for example or remove system apps that you don’t need and much more. Also be careful some stuff may void your warranty
Moved from Off-Topic to Helpdesk.
There is nothing to it..Some phones are sold rooted..
Follow the link above or search for applications that can root your phone in a few seconds..
There are many rooting programs that make rooting extremely easy.
There is actually very little risk involved when done correctly.
Apparently is much more ‘difficult’ compared to jailbreaking an iPhone. I’ve heard you have to jump through quite a few hoops to root Androids.
I think if its not done correctly or it messes up or something it could brick your phone
Good luck with it, hope you get it done
Android harder to root than an an iOS??? LMAO, whoever told you that doesn’t know jack about rooting android. Some devices are a bit more complicated yes but most arent
Wanna know how long it takes to root the nexus 7 2013? 2 Boot device into bootloader
go to command console after you’ve installed the ADB driver, then 2 commands is all it takes
fastboot.exe oem unlock
fastboot.exe boot image\CF-Auto-Root-flo-razor-nexus7.img
all done. Bootloader unlocked and superuser (root) flashed. Grats, you’re now rooted. time elapsed: 30 seconds
Why would you want to root your phone ?

Iphone could brick if jailbreak failed. Andriod to but the chance is very low when it come to rooting. Beside… Its a soft brick for andriod. Damn easy to fix. Most andriod is easy to root. Plug it in and open an program. Thats it… Your andriod is now root. Its a different story when it come to locked bootloader tho.

Because you can run rooted apps and there are ton of stuff you can do after rooting.
xda forum will surly help you a lots. Go there and read. Ask them question if you need help.
@: bootloader hard to unlock? Indeed depends on the device but not for that nexus 7 “fastboot oem unlock”, all done. Bootloader unlocked :p
@flame: Why root? Where to start. Blocking adds (both in aps and sites), requires access to the android hosts file (which requires root), titanium backup (allows backup of all aps, including system aps and their data), antivirus with firewall support (firewall can be used to deny internet access completely for aps) and there’s lots more uses. I’ve barely scratched the surface
@ I dont think iPhone’s can brick anymore, maybe the iPhone 2G, but now it is almost impossible to ‘brick’ your iPhone through the jailbreak process. If something was to go wrong, 99% of the time you can restore back to factory defaults and try again

Unlocking using normal method is also depend on which phone you have. There also difference in bootloader thats locked by carrier but have been found a way to unlock and new update bootloader that cannot be unlock yet. Both have different way to get around it. If you have an older phone that are not updated yet then surly you can unlock it but if the phone is new or have lastest official update. You cant unlock them. Again its also depend on phone. Unlockable bootloader VS lock bootloader I dont know if other phone are tightly locked by manufacturer or not but mine does. Like my phone which is an S4. I never update and only use lastest rom as update. Everything is unlocked and have custom recovery. But my dad updated his phone with the official version. Now his is lock and theres no way to unlock it. The only way is to use Safestrape Recovery to load up the rom.

Thats what brick is. Made the phone dont work but able to recover and do it again. Its different from hard brick which I doubt an iphone can have O.o People usually confused between an hard brick and an soft brick @
I should put it this way xD Your using Window OS as a Guest. Now your an Admin. Thats what rooting is.

on android devices once you root your phone you can download paid games for free, just download the apk and hit install (tons of sites oferf the apk for download)l, also lets you install cheat aps like freedom (fake credit card generator that lets you buy in-game stuff for free), or gamekiller (cheating program that you run in background and you can edit values like ammo to 999 or 999 health etc….) or lucky (removes annoying pop up ads from free aps).
