Questions On Buying A PS3 To Regional Restrictions

Hi. I’m thinking of buying a UK PAL PS3 with a 20 GIG Hard drive, but have a few problems i need to get out the way first. I plan to sell my PS2, Controllers, Unwanted games and my 2 memory cards in order to make some cash to part buy it. Question 1: If I get a UK PAL 20 GIG PS3 will it support PS2 and PS1 Games? Question 2: If Question 1 is yes then will i be able to play a Naruto Japan import game? Question 3: I know that the Blu-Ray dvds are regional restricted but are all of the PS3 games region restricted? Question 4: CAN YOU ANSWER THEM?

PS3 games are region free but Movies are region locked…PS3 60 gig has backward compatibility all the rest u cant play PS1 or PS2 games.
I have a US PS3 but I m currently in UK and play all the games bought from UK on it and they work like a charm.

Only a 60GB PS3 has backwards compatibility.
Majority of PS3 games are region free. (Google it to be sure)

1. just buy a 60 or a 40
2. my friends have bought games from all around the world they worked
3. same as 2 not 100% though with all games
