Problems Changing Drive Letters.

January 29th, 2020

I recently had to do a No-Reformat, Nondestructive Total- Rebuild of my XP Pro machine
all went well with no problems. (all my programs were still there)
I now find that my C: drive has become D: drive and vice verser
I can’t change them around because D: is now my system drive and it will not allow it.
Is there any way around this…

Answer #1
Is this SATA or IDE?
Answer #2
Nope..Windows partition drive letter cannot be changed..
Only way is to reinstall in the other partition and format the other..
Answer #3
You mean an “over the top (repair) install” ? You haven’t done it correctly then.
Do it again and disconnect any other drives, HDD’s, FDD, ODD’s (not being used).
