One simple question

January 26th, 2020

Hi there,
I just want to know if I can shut down, disable, turn off or kill (use whatever word you like) the Motherboard Temperature Sensors. Can I “unscrew it” from motherboard or can I just “tear it apart”. Why I want to do that? Because my PC Wizard and other temperature watching programs show that motherboard temperature is 95 C; which of course isn’t true. In BIOS all seems fine. I just want to destroy that sensor, ’cause of that system restarts very often under the thought that my motherboard “burns”. Please just tell me how to shut it down. I know it may have bad sides but just tell me, I just want to disable it.
Thanks in advance,
Andrija.

Answer #1
read your mboard manual. there should be an option to disable it in the bios but not on the hardware itself. but it is a nice feature isnt it.
Answer #2
How do you know if it isn’t that hot?
And check the BIOS, there should be an option to disable the sensor. You can’t physicly destroy it, you would destroy your motherboard in the process
Answer #3
How to prevent computer from crashes-restarts? Can I do something by some software?
Answer #4
If you’re having restart-crashes, then the problem is REAL, not imaginary. You need to cool things down.
