Need help uninstalling borderlands 2
August 5th, 2016
I downloaded and installed borderlands 2. When the installation was ending my antivirus deleted something. I thought the game wouldn’t start. As it turns out it started but was in russian. I thought I couldnt change the in-game language because of my AV deleting that file earlier, so i went to programs and features to uninstall it and when I clicked on uninstall, it finished instantly but didnt remove the game. Then i just deleted the folder with the game files and all the other folders. The folder doesn’t contain any uninstall files except uninstall.ini so i can’t uninstall it directly from the folder .
Next i tried to install the game again, but whenever I do that, it finishes in 5 seconds, but only this time I can’t even open the game. The second time, I installed the game in another partition. I also turned off my AV.
So, please help me. If you know how to uninstall it post here or P.M me.
Thanks in advance.
check your start menu That is where mine is. or go to Add/Remove programs
2 locations to uninstall the game
I already tried removing it from the add/remove in control panel. When I click on remove It removes the game in a couple of seconds, but the game is still not removed.
As for the start menu, there isn’t a folder in it.
Got any other ideas???
P.S: Thanks for replying.
Just to let you know, I did it. I succesfully unninstalled borderlands 2 and installed it again. It turns out my AV deleted the uninstall files, and all i had to do was delete everything connected to borderlands. I used revo uninstaller pro.
So, now i can play again, but the thing is when i use the B2 launcher to change the language to english it still opens the game in russian. When i change it to any other language it works, but only english doesn’t.
Any ideas?
Get a different antivirus – that one seems too aggressive, and / or make the 2K (Borderlands) folder an exception so it won’t bother it.
Did you tryed with deleting all files data on place where is BL instaled? (Without uninstall,add/remove…)
The best way to uninstall it completely is to use yamicsoft windows 7 manager and use their smart installer which always work for me.
