Answer #1
Did the old one get hot as well.. did it die in use?
If yes then you might have a short inside the laptop.
Or inside the battery itself.. (maybe a shorted out cell – like the burn-track shorts that NiCads used to get)

Does the charger run the laptop OK without battery and without getting too hot?
Does the battery charge up to full as fast as you would expect?
Does the battery last as long as it should when it is running the laptop?

Good questions:
All could indicate a battery fault – he’s aleady said that it doesn’t last as long as it should.
Now that could mean a dying battery, a faulty one, or a shorted-out cell.
Either way, it means a new battery.

Yes, Without battery laptop laptop running fine and battery not getting too hot.

No its a normal speed.

No battery life now very low after charging the battery 100% in just 30-40 mins its low down to 10%.

Every Laptop charger is hot around 50 Degree C. Today’s all laptop charger are fused boxed pack and no issue if its heating until your battery get’s fully charged. Once the battery is charged it will be lowered to 35 Degree C.

As said, a shorted out cell in the battery could be causing the charger to work too hard trying to charge the battery..
A charger may get a little hotter while charging the battery, than it does by just running the laptop, but not too much hotter..
Suggest a new battery before you damage the poor charger!
( It’s trying to protect itself by shutting off with overcurrent/overheat )
