Laptop – 0% Available. Plugged in Charging

August 27th, 2017

does anyone know what i need to do.
Got a new laptop and it says 0% available and has done for the last 30 mins.
Do i need to charge whilst turned off first time
Or have i been given dodgy goods?

Answer #1
if its not charging it would be one of 2 things either the charger is bad. or the little port (dont remember what its called) in the back where you plug the charger is in broken. most of the time its the port in the back the soldering comes loose or needs replaced. if it will charge but the battery is not holding the charge then the battery might be dead and you would have to replace it.
Answer #2
Your laptop is new so it properly be the charger problem but if it’s not the charger problem then it will be the port at the back where you plug the charger to charge the laptop
Answer #3
if you turn the lappy off and plug in the charger duz the charging light come on
if so wait a hour the boot to the bios (enter setup) and see if it shows an increased charge
if it duz it may be a windows problem and not the lappy or charger
Do i need to charge whilst turned off first time
try and see if it reaches full charge in the bios
Answer #4

that program didnt work for me, failed to communicate with the ACPI driver.
Battery seems to be charging, just no movement on the taskbar icon.
