Multiple usb boot
January 13th, 2014
I don’t know how i should call my problem so I went with multiple usb boot.
My question is: Is there a way you can split your boot img on several usb keys like we used to do with large os’s on cd’s?
Thanks in advance,
Sdjager
I do not think so. I think the partition table is not friendly to removable hardware like USB drives. Yet, searching the Interwebs has revealed
a) YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer)

b) a tutorial

thanks but it’s just the opposite of what i’m looking for,
with this you can put several os’s on 1 usb instead of putting 1 os on several usb’s
oooooooooooh. Sorry for the misinformation.
I don’t think that splitting up ISOs of an operating system would be an easy task especially making them bootable on individual USB drives…
Methinks you should probably invest in a bigger stick
I really agree with Nel above.
Back in the days of Windows 3, you had over 30 diskettes with your OS on it, but that was only because the technology of the storage mediums was not up to par. Today it may make more sense to grab a 4 gig drive
